As a Spirit-led Christian, we find answers by “going through.” There is no shortcut with God. We find the how, the what, and the where when we push full on with the Creator of all things. As we trust Him in our perseverance to gain all that we deserve only by the blood of Christ, we will find that it is only HE Who gives. We cannot do anything in our own strength, as John 15:5 states, but we can do something. That one thing that will drive us into the abundant life in Christ He has called for us to have is trust. As we trust Him, we’ll find peace awaits but if we remain unfiltered in our minds of hope, we’ll discover our daily life is frantic and entertained by warring thoughts of negativity. Christ came to squash that. He came for many things, but one of them is to help us win the battle in our minds.
On a daily basis we must fight thoughts of the enemy, the enemy of our souls. On any given day we have thousands of thoughts flooding our mind, and if we are not paying attention to what is falling in our thought space, we will become a mess in the place that is to be reserved for purity in Christ. He is the only Source of power that gives us the ability to destroy, unwind, and take every thought captive to Him. As we align our thoughts with His, by the power of the Holy Spirit, we will find there is nothing that can stop Christ’s resurrection in our life. If we are constantly looking to Him, we’ll sense His presence waiting to help us, waiting for us to call His name; the precious name of Jesus.
By the power of His blood, we can remain in Him instead of acting as a part of the world. We have been given the promise that this is not our home, but Heaven is a place of rest stored up for those who believe in the Son, the Rock eternal. When we call on Him, He answers, not always how we expect, but what we need. What we can expect from God is an answer that is best for us. Our scope is limited; His is not. If we trust in and rely on our only true Foundation which is Jesus, He will lead us in the way everlasting. He will lead us to the right place, at the right time. We need not fear because we can remain in His rest. As He calls our name, we can respond by saying, “Here I am, send me,” along with “I trust you God.” Without the willingness to be of service to Him for His glory, followed by a deep inner trust not able to be broken because of the three cord strand of His Spirit, we can follow Him and be assured He will always lead us in the right direction. Just because it hurts, doesn’t mean it’s not the right way or right thing for us. We have to get to a point where we trust Him despite circumstances, and despite pain. Once we find ourselves there, God can go to work. He is always working behind the scenes for us, but we need a deep-seeded trust in Him as Abba (Daddy) to be able to follow His call. The call can range from a small task to a big job across the globe. “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived- the things God has prepared for those who love Him-“ (1 Corinthians 2:9)
