I’m not perfect

Ah Sunday☀️ 🌻 Most of my life I spent believing the lies that I had to be good enough to be a “God-person” and that I’d never play this life all “right,” playing by all the rules so why bother, who cares, and why try, because I’d never make it— there was too much to live up to… or so I thought.

🌻 Nah, God meets us where we are at. We don’t need to have it all together. Somehow, by some miracle, He chose to meet me in one of the darkest, most jacked up, broken places in my entire LIFE; somewhere I NEVER in a million years thought God would meet me.

🌻 Heartbroken and alone is usually the place we find Him the most. He met me, bound and broken, but He desired to see me WHOLE and set free. Whew, how unbelievable.. still.

🌻 See, it’s not about rules, religion, laws, and regulations— it’s about freedom, and to be in relationship with the Creator Himself. It’s about FREEDOM from bondage —that stuff that enslaves you, breaks you, and haunts you. It’s about discovering HIS LOVE and knowing that YOU ARE LOVED… in the MIDDLE of your broken messes.

🌻 He chases us down and seeks us out, taking us from being lost to FOUND.

  1. I loved this post Kristy! It took me way too long to come to a heartfelt recognition that one of the things being “created in the image of God” (Genesis 1:27) means is that we were meant to be free – like Him!
